Seller's Description
A stunning example of the first year of the Panhead with a number of "one off" features like the last year big twin overhead valves with springer front end and the first year of the "new" engine, later known as the "Panhead" because of its rocker covers resembling two pans.
This very correct example has recently undergone a $20,000 mechanical rebuild and is now showing just 3,000 miles.
This bike has an original frame, forks, tanks, fenders etc, and comes equipped with a speedo rebuilt in the USA and period saddlebags by "Heathers Leathers", the premier saddlebag and seat restoration company in the US.
Additional features include correct Monroe shock on the forks, winged horn and front fender light. The bike has new cloth covered correct wiring harness and replica exhaust with correct muffler.
The bike is currently registered and this can be transferred if the successful buyer is in Victoria. The personal plates would have to be negotiated with the vendor.
This is an investment grade model that is mechanically sound and which can be used as a daily ride with confidence.
