Expressions of Interest open for Adelaide MotoGP tickets
Despite being more than a year away, MotoGP’s 2027 Grand Prix of Australia is already revving up, with the South Australian Government and the state’s Motor Sport Board launching a pre-ticketing website. Fans can register their interest at the site – motogpadl.com.au – ahead of the first modern MotoGP round to be held on a street circuit.

“Registering interest in tickets is the first step in what will be a huge moment for our state as international motorsport returns to the streets of Adelaide,” said SA Premier, Peter Malinauskas.
Tickets are unlikely to go on sale until later this year or early in 2027, but those who register at motogpadl.com.au will be the first informed when they do, while also receiving event news and updates as they’re announced.

Other initiatives in the lead up to the 2027 Grand Prix of Australia on the Adelaide Street Circuit include launching event-themed social media channels, plus the release of MotoGP-themed numberplates, which the SA Labor Government committed to ahead of their election win in March. These have been inspired by the Formula One-themed number plates that were produced in 1985 and have become collector’s items.

While full details on these plates are still to be revealed, including whether they will be offered exclusively for motorcycles, only 500 will be produced, released via auction ahead of the grand prix.
“Just like the original Grand Prix plates from the 1980s, these MotoGP plates will become collector’s items – a lasting reminder of the moment international racing returned to the streets of Adelaide,” said Malinauskas.

Of the benefits MotoGP will bring to Adelaide and South Australia more broadly, Malinauskas added: “MotoGP will deliver millions of dollars in economic benefit for our state, filling hotels, restaurants and venues, while showcasing Adelaide to hundreds of millions of fans around the world.”
Recent studies quoted by the SA Government state that MotoGP events generate around $217 million for host cities, with Adelaide’s hotels, restaurants and local businesses to benefit not just from the influx of visitors that are expected in 2027, but also the exposure to MotoGP’s global fanbase of more than 630 million.
