Following up from releasing details on the carryover models late last year, Harley-Davidson has revealed their full 2026 model lineup for Australia and New Zealand. Combining the familiar and the new, the MY26 range brings a major upgrade for the trikes and a new range leader in the Grand American Touring family.

In total, there are 11 motorcycles that Harley is classifying as new for 2026. These include a trio of Enthusiast Collection ‘Liberty Edition’ models (see separate article) that celebrate 250 years of American independence.
These new releases join 13 carryover models for the ANZ market that include the unchanged X350 and X500 LAMS models. The Sport range and Pan America adventure bike only gain new paint and graphics. Likewise, Harley’s Cruiser models carry over with only cosmetic changes.
In the Grand American Touring family, the Street Glide and Road Glide remain, but the Road King Special and Street Glide Ultra have been deleted for 2026. In the Trike family, it’s goodbye to the Freewheeler and Tri Glide Ultra, but as with the Touring models, there are replacements for 2026.
In pure numbers, Cruiser offerings remain at six, Sport at two and Adventure Touring at one. Grand American Touring options drop from four to three and Trikes from three to two, but the expansion of the CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) lineup from three to five plugs those gaps (see separate article for more on the MY26 CVO range).

Meet The New Boss
Headlining the Grand American Touring range for 2026 is the all-new Street Glide Limited (FLHXL). Essentially replacing the Street Glide Ultra, this full dresser tourer is more than just a new name. It boasts a bunch of new features, headlined by the Milwaukee-Eight VVT 117 engine.
While the addition of Variable Valve Timing to this 1,923cc v-twin with ‘Twin Cooled’ liquid-cooled heads brings no boost to the peak outputs of 80kW (107hp) and 175Nm, the powerband is broader, fuel economy is fractionally improved and exhaust emissions are reduced. Further improving economy is a significant weight reduction of 14kg to 405kg wet, but what Harley are benchmarking this number against is unclear, as the Street Glide Ultra was 393kg.
Gearing for the six-speed Cruise Drive transmission is identical to the Street Glide Ultra, with the frame, suspension (including remote preload adjustment at the rear), brakes and other cycle parts mostly unchanged from the Ultra, too.

Beyond the more efficient engine, where the Street Glide improves on its predecessor is in practicality and on-road comfort. The King Tour-Pak (aka topbox) has been redesigned to offer aerodynamic improvements and armchair-like comfort for the pillion. Speaker pods are now integrated into this (bringing total speakers to four), with heating added to the pillion seat, too. There’s also a wraparound LED tail/brake light for the King Tour-Pak, plus a redesigned rack for those trips where the standard 143-litre luggage capacity (combined topbox and panniers) isn’t enough. A 12V outlet is fitted inside the King Tour-Pak, while the panniers gain LED turn signals.
The rider’s seat has been redesigned to increase comfort and reduce fatigue, with on-seat controls to adjust the integral heating to the desired level. Ahead of the rider, the fairing lowers look the same as last year’s Street Glide Ultra, but now include the LED fog lights they were originally set up for. Fork-mounted air deflectors are unchanged, and along with the lowers and a tall windshield, keep airflow moving around the rider, greatly reduced buffeting for long haul comfort. Highway pegs are new and the heel-toe shifter has been redesigned, too.

Up front, the Street Glide Limited wears a fork-mounted Batwing fairing, with its large central headlight and ribbon-like LED DRL/indicators. Behind that, there’s the 12.3-inch (312mm) touchscreen instrument display, powered by Skyline OS, that includes navigation, voice recognition and hands-free calling. The 200W ‘Harley-Davidson Audio powered by Rockford Fosgate’ sound system upgrades to larger 165mm speakers; an improvement on the Street Glide Ultra’s 133mm units.
Rider modes are ‘Road,’ ‘Rain’ and ‘Sport,’ each impacting throttle response, traction control and ABS intervention, while a fourth ‘Custom’ mode allows the rider to mix-n-match to suit luggage load and riding conditions, or just their own preference. All the rider-assistance tech is cornering optimised for better control in the bends, including drag torque slip control to handle surface changes.

Cosmetically, the Street Glide Limited introduces all-new ‘10/20’ alloy wheels that start with ten spokes at the hub before splitting in two to create twenty spokes at the rim. Paint options include the familiar Vivid Back, Dark Billiard Grey and White Onyx Pearl. There’s also Iron Horse Metallic and Brilliant Red for a little more flair, with the two-tone options being Olive Steel Metallic with Vivid Black, and Purple Abyss with Vivid Black. Interestingly, Dark Billiard Grey is the standard colour for the 2026 Street Glide Limited, with all others an extra cost option. Chrome engine trim is standard, with blackout engine and exhaust detailing available at extra cost.
The Street Glide Limited hits the road at $51,250 MSRP, which is a $2,500 premium over the 2025 Street Glide Ultra and more than $4,000 above non-CVO models in the MY26 Grand American Touring range. Step up to the CVO Street Glide Limited and you get more, including the Milwaukee-Eight 121 engine, but you pay more, too. See the separate CVO article for more on the CVO Street Glide Limited.

Trike Makeover
The other big news with the 2026 Harley-Davidson range is a thorough reworking of the trike models, introducing what’s arguably the biggest change to that family since the Freewheeler of 2016. Sadly, that model has been dropped from the MY26 range, with the Tri Glide Ultra deleted, too, but the Road Glide 3 (FLTRT) remains.
In place of the deleted models, Harley has introduced the Street Glide 3 Limited (FLHLT), plus a CVO option – the first time a CVO trike has been offered locally since 2022. See separate article for more on the 2026 CVO range.
While Harley factory trikes have evolved since their debut in 2009, the 2026 machines mark the first major mechanical change to this family, so they’re being referred to as second-generation models.

Front ends are largely familiar, with changes mirroring what’s been made to the two-wheel equivalent. For 2026, that means the Road Glide for the Road Glide 3 and Street Glide Limited for the all-new Street Glide 3 Limited. The revolution is at the back, where the axle and rear suspension have been completely re-engineered to improve rider and pillion comfort.
The reconfiguration of the back end sees the differential now mounted to the chassis, with CV shafts in a De Dion-style rear suspension system replacing the old live axle. Allowing more vertical wheel movement than the old system, the new suspension also includes a stabiliser bar to reduce longitudinal movement of the wheels, with shock absorbers repositioned ahead of the rear axle to centralise mass. Finally, a Watts linkage (which like the De Dion rear, is common to sports and competition cars) prevents lateral rear wheel movement for better straight-line stability.
For rider and pillion, the key benefit of this new suspension system is increased wheel travel. What was just 60.3mm (2.3 inches) has been more than doubled to 130mm (5 inches), with hand-adjustable rear preload relocated to under the nearside passenger footboard.

Mounting the diff to the chassis, combined with a change to the reverse gear operation, reduces unsprung weight by a claimed 30kg. This allows the suspension to respond faster to changes in road surface, with power transfer claimed to be smoother, too.
New rear bodywork has been introduced to suit the redesign of the back end, and is mainly evident in deeper mudguards, but the Road Glide 3’s boot is much the same as before.
On the aforementioned reverse gear, what was previously powered by a separate electric motor mounted on the rear axle now operates off the engine’s starter motor. This new system is claimed to be lighter, more robust and more intuitive to operate.
The other big change of note for the 2026 trikes is that both the Road Glide 3 and Street Glide 3 Limited upgrade to the Milwaukee-Eight VVT 117 v-twin. Replacing the Milwaukee-Eight 114 in last year's trikes, this Twin-Cooled engine offers peaks of 78kW and 170Nm (105hp and 125ft/lb) for both machines. This compares to 65kW and 159Nm (87hp and 117ft/lb) from the 114 engine. As with the two-wheel models, the Variable Valve Timing on this engine improves fuel economy and reduces emissions on the trikes.

New tech for both models sees Skyline OS infotainment introduced, with embedded navigation functionality, plus hands-free phone calls. Safety tech sees tyre pressure monitoring added to the existing package of ABS, Traction Control and Drag Torque Slip Control, all of which are cornering enhanced.
Riding modes have also been introduced to the trikes for 2026, with ‘Road,’ ‘Rain’ and ‘Sport’ available, while all lighting is now LED, including fog lights on the Street Glide 3 Limited.
The heated rider/pillion seat, heated grips, new highway pegs and heel-toe shifter from the Street Glide Limited are added to the 3-wheel version. The Road Glide 3 misses out on these, but does come with a new seat and soft-touch grab handles for the pillion.
Cosmetically, the MY26 trikes mirror changes made to their two-wheel siblings, with the Street Glide 3 Limited serving as the full dresser tourer, and the Road Glide 3 the bagger option. Both gain redesigned fairings (Batwing for the Street Glide 3, Sharknose for the Road Glide 3), restyled fuel tanks and rear mudguards. The Street Glide 3 Limited gets the same King Tour-Pak as the Street Glide Limited, which means the sound system is upgraded to four speakers. New wheel designs and new paint options also arrive for 2026. New for the Street Glide 3 Limited is Purple Abyss and Vivid Black two-tone, while Blood Orange and Teal Thunder are new choices for the Road Glide 3.

Carryover colours common to both models are Vivid Black, Billard Grey and Iron Horse Metallic. For the Street Glide 3 Limited, Brilliant Red and two-tone Olive Steel Metallic with Vivid Black are also available.
Unlike the two-wheel tourers, which offer chrome or dark engine treatment with most colour options, the Street Glide 3 Limited is only available with chromed engine hardware, and the Road Glide 3 available with a blackout engine and exhaust for Australia and New Zealand.
