Triumph unveil special edition Tiger 800XC
On first appearance, the new Volcanic Black paint looks like a simple black finish, but shows off red metallic highlights under certain light. Complementing this is a red main frame, black exhaust heat shields and black pillion grab rails. Black finished handlebars and matt-finished Diablo Red cockpit infills complete the appearance makeover.
Performance on the XC special edition is unaltered, with Triumph's characterful long stroke, 799cc triple engine retained, producing a flat torque curve and refined power delivery.
Sophisticated ABS is provided as standard and can be deactivated for off-road riding, while the high-specification extends to a standard coded-key immobiliser and rear rack with generous pillion grab handles, finished in black on the Special Edition.
The chassis is equipped with long travel 45mm USD front forks and rear suspension unit, plus a 21-inch spoked front wheel and high front mudguard, to deliver maximum ground clearance and the ability to cope with rough trails.
Both the handlebar position and seat height can be adjusted for comfortable on-road riding, while cavernous hard and soft luggage options cater for those who want to take the 'kitchen sink' on their two-wheeled adventures.
An extensive range of Triumph accessories are available, allowing the rider to tailor their bike exactly to meet their needs.
Comprehensive instrumentation includes a fuel gauge and trip computer, while a high-specification 645w generator is fitted, providing ample power to electrical accessories such as heated grips, auxiliary lights and satellite navigation equipment.
As with all Triumphs the Tiger 800XC Special Edition comes with an unlimited mileage, two year factory warranty.
Pricing, available numbers and Australian delivery dates for the Tiger 800XC Special Edition are yet to be confirmed.
