Triumph provides more support for 2024 DGR.
Ahead of this year’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride on Sunday, 19 May, Triumph Motorcycles have announced their support for the annual global charity event that raises funds for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health initiatives will include a Thruxton Final Edition for the highest overall fundraiser, plus exclusive clothing packs for fundraisers in the Team Triumph riders’ group.
Last year’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) saw 106,000 riders dress dapper and ride classic and classically-styled motorcycles in 893 rides across 107 countries. The goal for 2024 is to see 1,000 rides globally, as part of the DGR’s “Side by Side, Worldwide” campaign. Triumph are assisting with this, engaging their dealer network to host – and participate in – more rides than ever this year.
A supporter of the DGR since 2014, Triumph’s involvement has included providing one-off motorcycles for the event’s top fundraiser, along with Triumph merchandise. This year, the top DGR fundraiser will receive a new Thruxton Final Edition, which is the farewell model for this popular performance twin. Finished in exclusive Competition Green paint, with hand-painted gold coachlines, the Thruxton Final Edition also includes a unique engine badge, with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the Thruxton 1200 design team and Triumph CEO, Nick Bloor.
Additionally, in line with the launch of the ‘Team Triumph’ riders’ group and the release of new DGR and Triumph clothing this year, the top five fundraisers in this group will be rewarded with items from the co-branded range.
“We share the DGR’s ambitious goal for 2024; to bring even more riders together, in more places around the globe, to raise even more money for men’s mental health and prostate cancer,” said Paul Stroud, Triumph’s Chief Commercial Officer. “We hope to unite and inspire Triumph riders across the world on 19 May to join Team Triumph, dress dapper, raise money and enjoy the ride.”
