The NEW American motorcycle launches in Melbourne. November 2008
While Victory Motorcycles has been a key player in the heavy duty cruiser markets of the United States for the past decade, the Ulysses AGM was the first public appearance for the brand in Australia.
Now its Melbourne's turn!
Visitors to the Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne will have the opportunity to check out the new Victory range, including the futuristic Vision and the Arlen Ness Limited Edition.
Established over 10 years ago in the U.S. by parent company Polaris Industries, Victory Motorcycles has become a popular brand in that market. Victory boasts a full selection of full sized cruiser and touring bikes that are setting new benchmarks for performance, quality, comfort and modern styling. With styling input from partners such as the legendary custom bike builder Arlen Ness, it's no wonder that the brand has achieved cult status.
Almost 150 riders sampled the Victory range first hand in Townsville and to say the response was positive would be an understatement, according to Victory Motorcycles Managing Director Peter Alexander.
"We know we have a phenomenal product and we were confident that Victory would be positively received in Australia," Alexander said.
"However, we were quite simply blown away by the overwhelmingly positive response and huge amount of interest in Victory Motorcycles both during and after the Ulysses Club AGM.
"Each and every Victory customer has the opportunity to own a bike completely unlike anything else on the roads," he added.
"It's one thing for people to marvel at how great the bikes look, but when they come back from a test ride and don't want to get off - that's a testimony to the faultless performance and engineering of these machines".
Victory models are powered by Victory's own engine, an American V-Twin OHC Fuel Injected 100 ci, 1634cc powerplant (or 106 cubic inch, 1730cc powerplant on the Victory Vision) that has set new benchmarks for reliability and low maintenance.
