Suzuki previews MY19 RM-Z250
Suzuki has released initial details and images of the 2019 version of their RM-Z250, with the quarter-litre motocross machine adding a number of improvements already applied to this year’s RM-Z450.
Key changes revealed so far include the return to a conventional coil-spring (instead of air) front suspension and an updated rear shock, while the front disc brake is larger and the pad compound is different for improved stopping performance.

The MY19 version’s 250cc engine is said to offer improved throttle response and increased overall engine output, with a new exhaust system fitted and the Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC) enhanced to match.
Frame and swingarm are described as being “latest generation” units, while the RM-Z250’s advanced traction management system has evolved to work with the rider to get maximum power to the ground. Styling and bodywork design follows the lead of the latest RM-Z450, with other new features for 2019 including an updated Renthal Fatbar handlebar and a new type of tyre.
Further details and full specs will be revealed closer to local release.
