Sissis continues Moto3 improvement
"It was really hard because the track was so wet and it was so cold, and I couldn't see anything," the Red Bull KTM Ajo rider told motogp.com. "At the start of the race, I just tried to stay behind Sandro [Cortese]. I was, and then I made a really big mistake and I ran straight through the chicane, and I lost a bit of time. Then I was by myself and I just tried going at my own pace.
"When [Alex] Rins passed me I stayed with him and then I couldn't see anything, I think it was with 10 laps to go. So then I slowed down and [Niccolò] Antonelli passed me and I saw P5 and I was happy, so I started slowing down! It was really good."
Commenting on the conditions, Sissis added: "It was really hard, and especially because I couldn't see through the visor and the front screen. I was riding all the way down the straight with my head up so I could see! I've never been in fifth position before, well I have but not for so long in the race! In a hard race like that it's really good."
Sissis's World Championship debut came in last year's Malaysian GP where he rode a one-off 125cc race in the penultimate round of the 2011 season, and he also finished last year's Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup as runner-up.
Sissis currently sits 10th in the Moto3 Championship, which is being led by his Red Bull Ajo team mate, Sandro Cortese.
