Royal Enfield updates Hunter 350
Royal Enfield’s Hunter 350 urban commuter has been given a freshen up, with new colours introduced and the standard specification upgraded. A more modern take on the Classic 350 and Bullet 350, the Hunter 350 also stands as a twin-shock alternative to the Guerrilla 450, combining stylish looks with LAMS legality, ease-of-use, light weight and a low seat height.

The new colours for the Hunter 350 are London Red and Dapper Grey. The former carries a bold red finish with black striping on the 13-litre fuel tank. The latter brings a Gunmetal Grey finish to the tank, with a stylish ‘RO’ contrast panel. Gloss black sidecovers and mudguards, plus a matte black treatment for the engine, exhaust, frame, wheels and suspension are common to both of the new colours.

The spec upgrades include the addition of an assist & slip clutch for the five-speed transmission, new suspension components and improved seat cushioning. The headlight is now an LED unit, and a USB-C port has been added. Additionally, the Hunter 350 now comes with the Tripper app-based turn-by-turn navigation system as standard. The main instrument pod remains an analogue unit with LCD insert.

Aside from the suspension upgrade, the Hunter 350’s mechanical spec is unchanged, meaning a 349cc single-cylinder ‘J-engine’ producing 15kW (20.2hp) at 6,100rpm and 27Nm at 4,000rpm. This is matched to the aforementioned five-speed gearbox. Suspension is made up of a 41mm front fork and twin shock rear, with six-step preload adjustment on the latter. The brakes are ABS-equipped 300mm front and 270mm rear discs, with a two-piston floating front caliper and single-piston rear caliper.

In line with improvements to the standard spec, some of the accessories for the Hunter 350 have been upgraded, too, including a tinted flyscreen that offers better wind protection and a lower seat that drops the stock 790mm seat height by 21mm. Other accessories include a sump guard, engine guards, panniers, tail tidy, LED indicators and various cosmetic items.
The improved Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is available now, priced from $7,590 ride away. See your Royal Enfield dealer for more details.
