Queensland Harley riders raise funds for BCNA
Townsville saw plenty of pink and heard plenty of Harley-Davidsons this past April when SunCity Harley-Davidson hosted their annual charity ride in support of Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA).

Aiding a cause close to their hearts, Harley-Davidson enthusiasts took to the streets of the northern Queensland coastal city on Saturday, 1 April, uniting in their passion for motorcycling to raise money for BCNA.
The annual event was a fun day out for all, with a BBQ breakfast at SunCity H-D, raffles, coffee van, kids’ entertainment and a self-service high tea on the day.

As well as motorcycle enthusiasts of all types (not just Harley owners), the event also brought together local politicians and cancer survivors.
In total, this year’s charity ride raised $7,084 for BCNA, supported by a $3,000 donation from Harley-Davidson Australia.

As part of their wider United We Ride strategy, Harley-Davidson aims to empower the female riding community, as well as help charities in this space. Harley-Davidson encourages female riders to share their stories in the hopes of inspiring a wave of female riders to join the motorcycling community.

Harley-Davidson takes pride in being able to support fantastic causes, particularly those that use a passion for riding to make a difference. Through local dealerships and H.O.G. (Harley Owners Groups) chapters, Harley-Davidson Australia and New Zealand has been able to support numerous charities through different rides and events. Supporting BCNA’s breast cancer research is one cause that’s close to their hearts.

Harley-Davidson Australia and New Zealand already runs the annual H.O.G. Pink Ribbon Ride, so they welcomed the opportunity to extend their support to this year’s SunCity Harley-Davidson charity ride, ensuring even more much-needed funds could be raised for the cause.
