Oli Bayliss set for dual World and British Supersport assault
Triumph Factory Racing has announced that Australia’s Oli Bayliss will join Macadam Triumph Racing for the 2026 Quattro Group British Supersport Championship. Bayliss will replace British rider Bradley Perie, who’s recovering from injuries sustained during pre-season testing at Donington Park, while still contesting the FIM World Supersport Championship (WorldSSP).

Thirteenth in this year’s WorldSSP championship after three rounds (highlighted by a third-place finish in the season opening race at Phillip Island), Bayliss’s addition to Dave Wadsworth’s Macadam Triumph team will see him campaign a Triumph Street Triple 765 RS of the same type he rides for PTR Triumph Factory Racing in WorldSSP.
The 22-year-old previously rode for Macadam Triumph Racing at Snetterton last year, where he impressed with a fourth place in qualifying, then fourth- and second-place finishes in the two races.

Bayliss’s first British Supersport appearance for 2026 is scheduled for Round 3 at Knockhill on 18–21 June. The Aussie will miss the opening two BSB rounds due to calendar clashes with the Hungarian and Czech rounds of WorldSSP.
Bayliss’s return to the BSB paddock comes at a poignant time, with the championship celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, nearly three decades after Troy Bayliss, claimed the 1999 British Superbike title.

“Firstly, I’d like to wish Bradley a fast and safe recovery following his accident, and I will do my best for him and the team throughout the season,” Bayliss said in an official statement.
“I’m really excited to be in the British Superbike paddock as well as WorldSBK this year. It’s a great opportunity for me and I’m looking forward to getting started on the Macadam Racing Triumph Street Triple 765 RS.
“I have to say a huge thank you to Dave (Wadsworth) and the Macadam crew, as well as Simon (Buckmaster), for the opportunity to contest both championships. It’s more bike time for me on the Triumph and a chance to learn some new circuits, which I’m really excited about. Unfortunately, there are a few calendar clashes, but thankfully not too many, and I’m looking forward to my first British round in 2026.”
