Moto GP Round 3 - Turkey
Curtain's disappointment then left the way clear for 19-year-old French rookie, Yoann Tiberio (Megabike Honda CBR 600RR), to take the win. Tiberio defeated Robbin Harms by 1.924 sec in the 16-lapper, with current world champion Sebastien Charpentier (Ten Kate Honda CBR 600RR) making it an all Honda podium in third position. Charpentier was the fastest man on the track, but he was forced into the pits for a ride-through penalty after jumping the start. Australian Broc Parkes (YZF-R6) was seventh, while Josh Brookes was a non-starter after severing ties with the SC Caracchi Ducati team.
Championship Points (after 4 of 13 rounds) Charpentier 91, Curtain 60, Harms 52, Tiberio 48, Parkes 38.

Despite making a quick start from his lowly grid position, the Italian made a mistake on lap two and dropped as far back as twelfth.
At the front Marco Melandri (Honda) repeated his win from last season but was pushed all the way by Casey Stoner (Honda), who led the race until three corners from the end, when Melandri made his definitive pass. Nicky Hayden (Honda) was left to snap up the final podium position after Pedrosa's mis- fortune, the Spanish youngster tumbling out at turn one on the final lap when attacking Melandri and Stoner.
