Honda CBR250R wins mag awards

After already winning the Motorcyclist Magazine's 250cc sportsbike shootout earlier this year, the Honda CBR250R was described as a "clean-sheet build, loaded with Honda engineering and innovation."

Released to the Australian market in March 2011, the Honda CBR250R hit the ground with speed and has received praise from critics and riders alike.

Designed with a 249cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine at its core, the CBR250R features an efficient 4-valve DOHC, PGM-FI electronic fuel injection and six-speed transmission.

Leading the way in safety technology, the Honda CBR250R is also available with Combined ABS; a world first for a 250cc road sports motorcycle.

Priced at $5490 and $5990 for the ABS model, the CBR250R is the perfect entry-level package offering a fine balance of agile handling, sleek sports styling and renowned Honda performance.

Motorcyclist Magazine concluded the positive run down of the category winner by explaining that Honda's CBR250R "was built to offer outstanding rideability and durability, and with a wet weight of just 162kg and a maintenance schedule that could fit on the back of a business card, it's hard to find anything that compares."
