Ducati adds Iceberg White option to Monster
Ducati’s Monster is now available in an Iceberg White livery, adding a distinctive colour option to the bodywork and seat of the naked performance machine.
Released in Europe in June and now available in Australia, the Iceberg White livery is available ass an option to the classic Ducati Red and Aviator Grey. The new livery is available for the Monster and Monster +, but not the Monster SP, which retains its exclusive two-tone red and black treatment, as well as the componentry upgrades that define that model.
Applied to the front mudguard, fuel tank and tail sidecovers, Iceberg White paint is contrasted by red upholstery for the rider and pillion seat. Decals are to the same pattern as other Monster variants, but with ‘Monster’ in black and ‘Ducati’ in red, as per the Aviator Grey option.
On the Monster +, the fly screen and pillion seat cover that define that model against the standard Monster are finished in Iceberg White, too, but the latter does not add a red backstop for the rider seat. Instead of red wheels, as per the Aviator Grey colour option, Iceberg White uses the same black wheels with red tags as the Ducati Red option.
As per the other Monster colour options, the engine and frame remain black, with a bare metal finish for the exhaust headers and silencers. Forks, handlebars, mirrors, grips, headlight surround and other trim pieces are also black, as per the other colour options.
Colour aside, there’s no change on the Iceberg White Monster, with the same 937cc desmodromic Testastretta v-twin, producing the same 82kW at 9,250rpm and 93Nm at 6,500rpm. The 11-degree v-twin is matched to a six-speed transmission, with the Ducati Quick Shift up/down quickshifter standard.
The lightweight aluminium front frame and fibreglass polymer composite subframe are unchanged, as is the 43mm USD front and preload-adjustable monoshock rear suspension. Monster technologies include Cornering ABS, Traction Control, Wheelie Control, Launch Control, three riding modes and three power modes. The Iceberg White Monster also features the same 4.3-inch TFT colour instrument display, LED lighting, sequential indicators and USB socket as the existing versions.
Seat height is 820mm, which can be reduced to 775mm with optional seat and suspension kits, while fuel capacity is 14 litres and wet weight is 166kg.
Like the Aviator Grey option, the new Iceberg White livery carries a small premium over Ducati Red, with Australian pricing from $20,000 ride away for the standard Monster and from $20,600 for the Monster +. New Zealand pricing starts at NZ$21,686 for the standard version and NZ$22,486 for the Monster +.
