Allerton Stretches Championship Lead
Riding his BMW S 1000 RR in its stunning new black Procon Maxima BMW livery, Glenn was quickly back in the groove after returning from riding in Britain.
In Race 1 Glenn worked his way from the second row of the grid to finish in second place.
"It wasn't a bad race, we battled hard for the win. I didn't end up where I wanted to be in qualifying and we'll be starting from the second row again so hopefully I can go one better tomorrow," said Glenn at the end of the first day's racing.
On Sunday in a race shortened by two laps, Glenn could not challenge for a podium position but battled throughout the race to finally clinch a well-deserved fourth place. This was enough to grab second position overall for the Round and despite this being the first race of the series without Glen being on the podium, he cemented his stranglehold on the Championship.
"The positives from today are that we came away with an even bigger championship points lead and I finished second for the weekend, I can't complain about that. The Procon Maxima BMW went really well, I think if we had have done a test between the last race and this one like everyone else did we would have been that step further forward and battling for the win. Unfortunately we couldn't do that due to me being overseas and doing some racing. We'll go to the next round and try to consolidate, I'm strong at Tasmania so I'll go to my favourite track and hopefully be able to take the number 1 plate there." said Glenn.
For Coastline Motorrad Racing's Linden Magee it was the perfect weekend on his BMW S 1000 RR. He took out both races in the Prostock Challenge and further strengthened his grip on the title.
