2020 Geelong Revival cancelled
The Geelong Revival Motoring Festival has joined the long list of motorcycling display and competition events to be cancelled due to COVID-19, with the scrubbing of this year’s Revival made official on 3 September.

Event Director Nick Heath expressed his disappointment that the 27-29 November event would not be going ahead, but with the Revival being such an ‘open’ public event with large spectator numbers, and attracting equally large numbers of entrants across the car and motorcycle sprint classes, he said cancellation was the only safe course of action to take.

“It is clear that the ongoing COVID-19 crisis prevents large scale events like ours from occurring. We are extremely disappointed to be making this announcement but there are far greater issues facing our community at this time,” Heath said.

The Geelong Revival team will now work with stakeholders and the City of Greater Geelong to organise the 2021 event, which will feature motorcycle sprints and show ‘n’ shine as per previous years.

“We look forward to presenting the Geelong Revival Motoring Festival in 2021. We are sure that the community will be ready to get out and enjoy the event and Geelong’s spectacular waterfront when conditions permit,” Heath added.
The Geelong Revival team say they are greatly appreciative of the unwavering support the event has received across the last eight years. Updates on the 2021 event will be provided as they are available.
