Offered for sale is this low kilometer 13-character VIN, 1994 Varese Ducati 916. The Varese bikes are regarded by the True 916 aficionado as the Holy Grail of the 916 series, with this the now near unavailable Varese monoposto. Purportly hand built, the Ducati 916S along with the SP’s were only available as a Monoposto; being a different spec to the fBologna 916, the 94 bikes were Cagiva Elephant branded. The bike offered has a red frame and is possibly one of 5 prototypes ( Massiomo Tamburini rode a red frame black wheeled 916 see photos) sold by Ducati to make up numbers for orders. This bike requires very little to bring it back to original but has some patina expected of a bike of this age.
