The Regiment II’s key improvements over the Regiment include cotton/polyester construction that negates the need for a separate mesh lining. Removable shoulder and elbow armour that was previously optional is now standard. More pockets – two zippered side pockets and an internal pocket – have been added, while snap buttons are now on the collar.
Protection Built In
To its main cotton/poly construction, the Regiment II adds aramid fabric of the same type found in many riding jackets. Incorporated into the shoulders, elbows and back, this highly abrasion-resistant material is also light and flexible, meaning the Regiment II not only protects you from scrapes in a fall, it’s comfortable to wear, on the bike and off.
KEEPTECH CE Level 2 protectors are fitted in the shoulder and elbow areas. For off-bike wear, these protectors can be removed. There’s a pocket to hold a back protector, which is available separately.
The Regiment II also features reflective trim to improve rider visibility in low light conditions.
Pockets and Comfort
Chest pockets on the Regiment II are in the classic flap style with snap button closures, while the new side pockets are zippered and can be used as hand warmers when off the bike. There’s also an internal ‘stash’ pocket to hold cash, cards and valuables.
Shoulder expansion gussets improve comfort when riding, while the addition of snap buttons on the collar prevent it flapping and causing discomfort when riding at speed.
A YKK zippered main closure sits behind a faux button-up front flap and there’s a belt loop for attaching the Regiment II to riding pants.
Sizes and Colours
Offering good looks and good protection, the RJAYS Regiment II is available in men’s XS to 4XL sizes, with a choice of red/black, blue/black and grey/black plaid colours. The Regiment II is also available for women in 8-16 (XS-L) sizes and two dedicated colours.
