1982 Honda CB900F2 Bol D’or in the iconic red and white colour scheme. A classic early-80s Honda superbike that’s becoming harder to find, especially in good running condition. The bike was last registered in 2006 and dry stored in a garage for many years before being recommissioned. A number of mechanical jobs have recently been completed and the bike is now running and riding very well. Recent work includes: • Front and rear brakes fully rebuilt (master cylinders and calipers) • New fork seals • New head stem bearings (All Balls tapered roller kit) • New front and rear tyres • Engine cleaned up and repainted • Rebuilt fuel tap • Carb clean • Engine oil & filter • New plugs • Rusted or missing hardware replaced The bike starts easily, runs strong and rides exactly as it should. These air-cooled Hondas are smooth, reliable and still great fun on the road. This is not a restored bike, and that was intentional. The aim was to recommission and preserve it rather than erase its history. The bike carries honest patina and a few small scars from decades of use, which is part of its character. They are only original once. The bike retains the original Bol D’or half fairing, which has never been drilled for the auxiliary gauges. The additional gauges are included with the bike if the next owner wishes to fit them. Fitted with a period-correct 4-into-1 exhaust and running the best looking “boomerang” Comstar wheels. The paint presents well overall. The fuel tank and some body panels appear to have been repainted at some stage, while the side covers look to be original. I can’t say exactly what has or hasn’t been repainted, but the bike still presents as a very tidy and honest example. A great example of a classic Japanese superbike that can be ridden and enjoyed.
