Yamaha XJR 1300 discount. October 2007
The XJR1300's new fuel injection system offers high levels of intake control thanks to an ECU-controlled 12-hole 2-directional injector. This monitors rpm and throttle opening to achieve optimum intake efficiency for significantly increased performance. A new intake camshaft with revised valve lift characteristics and optimised intake/exhaust valve overlap range, new 4-2-1 exhaust system combine with the fuel injection/ECU to reach maximum torque a full 500 rpm lower (6000rpm) than the 2006 machine.
To match the new sportier engine character, front suspension settings have been revised for plush action and light handling, while also reducing nose dive during braking. Öhlins rear shocks offer a more linear and direct feel, with optimised rebound and compression damping characteristics.
Additional features include a new seat design (incorporating new foam) that offers an optimum balance of sportiness and comfort, the security peace of mind of an engine immobiliser, as well as new dual circular LED tail lights, internal instrument illumination, clear flasher lenses, redesigned side covers and oval mirrors.
YMA has managed to shave the retail price back by $700 over the 2006 model to give a new RRP of $13,999.
