YAMAHA RELEASES LIMITED EDITION 'STREET RALLY' MT-09

Shortly after revealing the MT-07, a twin-cylinder, 655cc, LAMS-legal addition to their MT family, Yamaha announced a special edition of the MT-09 - the Street Rally - which is now available locally in very limited numbers.

Using the same basic components as the stock MT-09 850cc naked triple, the Street Rally edition adds supermotard-inspired bodywork, including knuckle guards, sideplates, a headlight cover and wind deflector, as well as fuel tank and front mudguard shrouds.

The Street Rally also includes a slim, flat seat, as well as motard-style footrests for a revised riding position that Yamaha claims to allow motard-style cornering. Red wheel pinstripes and gold anodised front forks are other features.

Available only from selected Yamaha dealers, RRP for the MT-09 Street Rally is $12,999. Once the small numbers allocated for the local market are gone, Yamaha Motor Australia says no more will be imported.
