Victory reveals new 'Magnum' factory bagger
Notable deviations from the standard Cross Country include the 21-inch front wheel, lowered rear suspension, bobbed and tinted 'boomerang' windscreen and a distinctive tri-tone colour scheme.
The new Magnum also features a high-spec sound system, boasting 6 in-dash speakers and 100W output; the best Victory sound system to date.
Mechanical specs are unaltered from the standard Cross Country, with the 'Freedom' 106ci v-twin and 6-speed overdrive transmission.
The air-adjustable rear suspension is lowered by one inch over factory spec to give a slammed appearance to the back end, with 120mm of travel. Front suspension is via 43mm telescopic forks, with 130mm travel.
Braking consists of 300mm discs at both ends: dual discs up front with 4-piston calipers, and 2-piston calipers on the rear disc, with ABS. The 21-inch front wheel and 16-inch rear are distinctive cast-alloy style, shod with Dunlop Elite 3 tyres as standard.
Standard colour scheme is 'Magnum Red' over two-tone 'Supersteel' grey, with Metasheen Black over Supersteel, or striking Plasma Lime also available. The Magnum spec also includes colour-match treatment on the dash, radiator shroud and rear guard closeouts.
Other essentials include a 148mm ground clearance, 22lt fuel capacity, 1670mm wheelbase and 653mm seat height.
Peter Harvey - Country Manager for Victory Motorcycles said they haven't been as excited about a new Victory bike launch.
"The bagger trend is gathering strong real momentum locally and the timing of the Magnum is perfect.
"Customers have been asking for and custom building this type of bike themselves and for it to be available ex-factory with the largest production bagger wheel on the road coming standard plus all the other features should make it irresistible" Harvey says.
Due for local release in November, the Victory magnum bagger will carry a ride-away price of $29,995. Find out more at your Victory dealer, or go to: victorymotorcycles.com.au
