Ural announce Limited Edition Tourist model
Ural sidecar motorcycles have long maintained a design which is recognized for its simplicity and easy maintenance. Some of this simplicity is about to slip away in exchange for better fuel economy and throttle response, more consistent braking, better steering, more efficient air cleaning - and a bigger price tag.
The upgrade to fuel injection on the 2014 Urals has been pushed by the near-future implementation of more stringent emissions and braking standards for road-registered motorcycles in Europe and the USA.
With this in mind, 2013 represents the final opportunity to get hold of a carburetted, drum brake Ural, with the end-of-the-line to be marked with the release of a special limited edition.
Yet to be named, one of the final 2013 Limited Edition carburettor models will be on display at the Ural Australia stand at the Sydney Motorcycle Show this November 15 - 17.
The special comes in a distinctive new sea blue and tan colour scheme. Each of the previous limited edition models have been quickly taken up by buyers seeking a customized and unique model, so Ural Australia expect the same to be the case with the final carb version.
In addition to the sea blue LE outfit, Ural Australia will also have a pre-production 2014 Ural Ranger with EFI and all wheel disc brakes on display in Sydney. The 2014-spec outfit also features adjustable hydraulic steering damper and a new airbox, amongst other new features.
