Triumph Speedmaster. March 2009
As a hot-rodded 'Factory Custom', the Speedmaster proves that less is more, and minimalism is key to the bike's harder edge. The rev-counter is mounted discretely on the fuel tank nacelle, the large round white faced speedo perches cleanly in the rider's line of sight on its top-yoke mounting. A two-tone colour combination of phantom black and new England white is new for the 2009 model year, joining the singular phantom black option. Also new for 2009 are colour-coded side panels, giving a more stylish and cohesive look.
Completing the hot rod look are cast wheels, 18-inch at the front and 15-inch at the rear. Twin 310mm front discs - gripped by twin piston calipers - bring the Speedmaster to a halt with power and assurance, while the twin shocks and wide style telescopic forks make for a planted and supple ride. And if the stripped down look doesn't quite meet the individual's taste, there is always the extensive range of Triumph genuine accessories specifically designed to lend even more style and individuality.
