Triumph release new Street Triples
While the 675cc engine is largely unchanged, it has been re-tuned to complement the all-new aluminium beam twin-spar frame and die-cast rear subframe. Optimised for performance, the new frame is also lighter thanks to fewer overall pieces and fewer welds.
Other new features include a 'low boy' stainless steel exhaust, that's been repositioned for mass centralisation, as well as a reduced rake and increased trail, which improves handling and saves 6kg of weight over the existing model.
KYB 41mm USD forks are common to both models, with those on the R fully adjustable. Two-pot Nissin calipers on the twin 310mm front disc of the Street Triple are beefed up to four-pot on the Street Triple R.
Well-equipped out of the crate, the 2013 Street Triple features an engine immoboliser and comprehensive LCD instrumentation as standard, with a security D-lock and tyre pressure monitoring system available as options.
Each model is available in three colour options, with Phantom Black and Crystal White common to both. Caribbean Blue is exclusive to the Street Triple, while the Street Triple R's bespoke colour is Matt Graphite.
Both new models will be available in Triumph dealerships Australia-wide from November. See your dealer for pricing and further details.
