Triumph previews ‘Moto2 Edition’ Daytona
The ‘Daytona Moto2 765 Limited Edition’ is being described as the “ultimate edition” of the company’s supersport triple, with the highest ever power and torque ever offered in a Triumph triple, thanks to technology developed from the Moto2 race engine programme.
As well as a highly-developed engine and chassis, the limited-edition Daytona will carry a high degree of rider assistance technology and other high-specification finishes.
The bike and all its specs will be revealed at a special ceremony on 23 August at the Silverstone circuit on the eve of the British MotoGP round.
The first roadgoing motorcycle to be licensed by Dorna Sports.SL for the Moto2 championship, the limited-edition Daytona will be produced in two versions – one for Europe and Asia, with the other for the US and Canada. Only 1,530 individually-numbered examples of the Daytona Moto2 765 Limited Edition will be built for the two markets (765 each), identified by a special ‘race’ paint scheme and other yet-to-be-revealed features.
Pricing, availability and further details are set to be revealed at the 23 August launch.
