The E Superbike
One such innovative project is the zero emission motorcycle powered by an electric engine, developed by Roehr Motorcycles. Roehr produce the 134kW US-built 1250cc sportbike, and are set to introduce two electric motorcycles mid-year, plus an all electric 72kW racing machine. It has already been dubbed the eSuperbike, packing an impressive 284Nm of torque. A lower spec eSupersport bike, that delivers 36kW and 142Nm torque will also top 100mph. The new range will be known as the eRoehr and will be powered by high energy discharge 10KWh lithium iron phosphate battery packs. They will sport a premium suspension and brake components. Roehr will be offering race prepared versions of the eSuperbike for teams competing in the TTXGP and FIM e-power racing series.
