Tardozzi returns to Ducati
Returning to the Italian company after four years, part of which was spent with BMW, Tardozzi will be in charge of organisation and logistics. He will report directly to Ducati Corse Sporting Director and MotoGP Programme Director Paolo Ciabatti.
The role covers many of the responsibilities of the Vittoriano Guareschi, who has taken on a role with Valentino Rossi's Moto3 team for 2014.
Turning 55 on 30 January, he has already enjoyed a successful career as Ducati Team Manager in the eni FIM Superbike World Championship in which he contributed to seven Riders' titles, including those achieved by Australia's Troy Corser and Troy Bayliss.
Tardozzi will begin his new role with Ducati Team at the opening MotoGP™ Official Test of the year in Malaysia, running from 4-6 February
During his time with Ducati's World Superbike teams, Tardozzi saw five champions ride the red machines to victory: Troy Corser, Troy Bayliss, Carl Fogarty, James Toseland and Neil Hodgson.
