Stoner surgery successful
On medical advice, Stoner did not ride at the MotoGP Brno round, and returned to Australia for surgery. The procedure was performed by a Dr. Lam and his team at Sydney's North Shore Private Hospital.
Initial reports on the results of the surgery, in a release from Repsol Honda, said doctors are pleased with how the operation went, but must wait during this initial recuperation period to see how the ankle is healing.
With no complications or need to stay in hospital, Stoner has returned home. As per the situation before the surgery, a date for Stoner's return to competitive riding has yet to be confirmed.
