Stoner honoured in Queen's Birthday awards
The 27-year-old, who was MotoGP World Champion in 2007 (Ducati) and 2011 (Honda), was named as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for "significant service to motorcycle racing."
Stoner previously was named Young Australian of the Year in 2008's Australia Day honours, following his first world championship with Ducati.
Following his retirement from MotoGP at the end of the 2012 season, Stoner switched to four wheels, racing in the V8 Supercars Dunlop Development Series.
Stoner was one of 582 Australians to be recognised in this year's Queen's Birthday honours.
