Staring returns to Superstock in 2015

Racing for Team Pedercini Kawasaki in that 2012 SSTK season, Staring won three races and finished fourth overall. The 27-year-old will rejoin the Pedercini squad for this year's SSTK campaign.

Last year, Staring raced briefly for Grillini Kawasaki in World Superbikes and also completed a few rounds of World Supersport. In 2013, Staring raced for Gresini Honda in MotoGP, but struggled on the uncompetitive CRT machine.

At Pedercini this year, Staring will race alongside Frenchman Romain Lanusse, who has been retained by the Italian team. Pedercini are also running David Salom in World Superbike.

Speaking of the return to Superstock competition on worldsbk.com, Staring said: "Signing for Kawasaki and Pedercini to race in Superstock again has been like a breath of fresh air. I feel like I have a fighting chance.

"This year, we have a pretty big goal to reach and I think it is quite achievable because we have all the right tools. Winning the championship is the goal, as it should be every year, and I think we should be in a position to do that this year."
