Staring looking forward to WSBK return
The 26-year-old suffered an injury to his right arm last weekend, while training on his push bike. Despite the recent setback, the former STK1000 race winner is looking forward to the new challenge ahead on the EVO-spec Kawasaki ZX-10R with Team Grillini Kawasaki.
"I'm really happy to join Team Grillini and to return to the Superbike World Championship," said Staring. "It's a pity I injured my right arm, but I will do my best to be ready for Donington."
Staring's return to international competition - in World Supersport - this year lasted only one round before he and the Rivamoto team managed by Jeremy McWilliams parted ways after the Phillip Island season opener.
Staring has signed to ride the remainder of the 2014 season with Grillini, under the IRON BRAIN Grillini Kawasaki banner, with team mate Sheridan Morais.
The Aussie previously rode in World Superbikes with Team Pedercini Kawasaki in 2011 and 2012, but only took part in the Phillip Island round on both occasions. Staring raced in the 1000cc European Superstock Championship in 2011 and 2012, scoring three race wins and finishing fourth overall in 2012 before his move to MotoGP the following season.
