Sherco’s 2018 Factory models arrive
Significant changes on the 250 SE and 300 SE 2-strokes include a new engine cylinder, new combustion chamber, new power-valve, new water temperature sensor, new electrical harness, new ignition coil and a new FMF exhaust system, along with a key-less start system that was previously restricted to the 4-strokes.
“The cylinder has new porting to improve traction and control and the new power-valve and combustion chamber combine to increase throttle response,” Tuff explained. “Collectively, what we’ve ended up with is an engine that is more responsive, stronger and smoother.”

Further upgrades on the 250 SE and 300 SE include new Neken triple clamps, a new Galfer front brake disc and a new battery charging regulator. Other changes include a 48mm WP Xplor fork with pre-load adjuster and WP shock, a dual material rear sprocket, diamante Sella Dalla Valle gripper seat cover, thermo fan and solid rear brake disc.
Cosmetic changes to the 2-stroke models include a yellow handlebar pad and blue anodized rims, while the Factory graphics kit is the ultra-strong in-mould type. Engine changes aside, the 300 SEF and 450 SEF Factory 4-strokes get the same upgrades as the 2-strokes, and also receive a full Akrapovic exhaust system for 2018 that includes Factory mapping to enhance performance and offer further weight savings.
