Despite not having raced an Australian MX event for many years, Reed comfortably won both motos, his only real competition coming from current Pro Open championship leader, Team Kawasaki's Daniel Reardon. The Kawasaki pilot managed to hold off Reed for about half race distance in each moto, before the former AMA Supercross champ pulled away.
Reed finished second in the AMA Supercross Championship behind James Stewart earlier this year. While his attendance at any other Nokia MX Nationals round is to be confirmed, expect Reed to spend some time pursuing his interest in four wheel racing via some more test laps in a V8 Supercar.
