PTR Triumph retain Oli Bayliss for 2026
Australia’s Oli Bayliss will spend a second season with PTR Triumph Factory Racing in the FIM Supersport World Championship (WorldSSP). The new deal, announced in October, comes on the back of the 22-year-old’s best season to date in WorldSSP.

“I’m really excited to be going again with Simon Buckmaster and the PTR Triumph Racing team,” Bayliss said. “It’s been my strongest year so far in the World Supersport Championship and I’m ready to keep building on the progress this year. I’ve gelled well with the Triumph Street Triple 765, so next year we need to fight for the top positions.”

Bayliss made his WorldSSP debut on a Ducati with Barni Spark Racing Team in 2022, moved to D34G Racing WorldSSP Team in 2023, then signed with PTR Triumph Factory Racing for 2025.
The move to PTR has seen the son of three-time World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss enjoy his strongest season in the championship to date, highlighted by a career-best fourth place finish at the Hungarian round. Bayliss also achieved Top 10 results at the Australian, Czech and French rounds, which saw him complete the 2025 WorldSSP season in 14th place.
To boost his experience on Triumph’s Supersport machinery, Bayliss made a wildcard appearance in the British Supersport Championship in June, storming to fourth- and second-place results with Macadam Factory Triumph Racing.

Simon Buckmaster, Team Manager at PTR Triumph Factory Racing, praised Bayliss’s performances this year: “It's great news to be able to announce Oli Bayliss will be continuing with our team in 2026.
“Oli, especially in the second half of the year, improved a lot. We can see the times are there and we saw the potential with fourth place in Hungary.
“Now we need to work with him with full focus and concentration, paired with the controlled aggression needed to fight at the front to be world champion in the very high level of World Supersport without making mistakes.
“I can’t wait to get started at the first round in Australia next year for Oli’s home round.”
