Project Harleys consigned for Shannons Spring Auction
The Harley pair comprise a 1924 'JD' 1200ccv-twin and a very rare and sought-after 1930 'C' 500cc Single. Both bikes are of "restorer's dream" quality, ie. the prospective buyer will need to devote some time, effort and expertise to them, but both are rare models and certainly worth the effort. The good news is that both are being offered with no reserve, so there's the opportunity to pick up a potential bargain. The JD is expected to sell for $7,000-$10,000, and the C single in the $5,000-$10,000 range.
Also consigned with no reserve for this auction are a 1972 Bultaco Sherpa Trials motorcycle, which has now become a sought-after classic amongst VMX enthusiasts, and a 1967 350cc BSA B40 Scrambler.
Other motorcycle lots -with a reserve - consigned for this auction include a 1925 Harley-Davidson JE outfit, C1924 Harley board track racer replica, C1951 Vincent Series C Black Shadow, and a 1974 Triumph Adventurer scrambler.
Shannons Melbourne Spring Auction will take place on Monday, September 12 at Shannons' Melbourne showroom - 321 Warrigal Rd, Cheltenham.
