PREVIEW – 2023 Festival of Motorcycling SA
The Festival of Motorcycling South Australia (FOMsa) comprises 7 days of guided motorcycle rides through the Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley and Fleurieu regions of South Australia. A tour of the motorcycle-only speedway at Gillman is included in this year’s programme, with an all-new Poker Run part of the 2023 itinerary, too.
There’s also the ‘Night of Champions’ dinner with special guests from the world of road racing, land speed records, trials and speedway.

2023 FOMsa Ride Week
The 2023 FOMsa programme has six main rides to choose from. Entrants can register for a single ride or the whole lot.
Here’s a rundown on the rides this year.
Sunday 1st October – AH 69 Club ride to Balhannah Vintage and Veteran Sweep Meet, then on to Barossa Vintage Collingrove Hillclimb
Monday 2nd October – COMCC Murray Lands ride
Tuesday 3rd October – TRC Adelaide Hills ride
Wednesday 4th October – BVCMCC Barossa Valley ride
Thursday 5th October – Gillman Speedway tour and morning tea
Friday 6th October – DOCSA Southern Vales ride

Entrant packs will be available from the Kilkenny West Croydon RSL Hall on Saturday, 30th September, between 12 Noon and 3:00PM.
Entry fees will be donated to local medical research initiatives, specifically the SAHMRI (South Australian Health & Medical Research Institute) PhD Student’s Medical Research Bursary Fund.

2023 FOMsa/COMCC ‘Ride for Research’ Poker Run
New to the FOMsa this year is a Poker Run on Saturday, 7th October, that’s being held in conjunction with the Classic Owners Motorcycle Club (COMCC) of SA.
Like the other rides in the 2023 FOMsa programme, the Ride for Research Poker Run will raise funds for the SAHMRI Bursary Fund.
Entry is $25 per person and all motorcyclists are welcome, so get a group of riding mates together and take part in the FOMsa’s very first Poker Run supporting a very worthy cause.
The five-card Poker Run will start at Tea Tree Gully RSL – assemble at 9:30AM for your first card and a 10:15AM start. The route will take riders through the Adelaide Hills, then back to the Tea Tree Gully RSL for their final card, prizes for best hands (1st, 2nd, 3rd) a raffle draw, food and drinks.

2023 FOMsa Night of Champions
On of the most popular parts on the FOMsa programme, the Night of Champions is a great evening where champions past, present and upcoming from the world of motorcycle competition share stories and take questions from the crowd.
The evening is hosted by former Australian Supersport Champion and 2020 BSB Championship runner-up Jason O’Halloran. This year’s list of special guests include:

TBC – Yamaha bLU cRU juniors

The Night of Champions is held at the Adelaide Speed Boat Club, Gillman, from 7:00PM to 10:30PM.
Entry is $40 for adults and $35 for juniors (Under 16), which includes supper and first drink. There is a cap on numbers, so book your seat soon.
