Polaris Outlaw ATV. November 2008
For a limited time only, 2008 model Outlaw MXR 450, Outlaw 525 IRS and Outlaw 525 S will retail for the unbelievably low price of $9,995 (a saving of $3,000), while the 2007 model Outlaw 525 IRS - which is in incredibly limited supply - will retail for only $8,995 (a saving of $4,000)! This is strictly while stocks last. To cap off these great offers, Polaris has also slashed the prices of its new 4-stroke youth range - the Outlaw 90, Sportsman 90 and Outlaw 50. For a limited time, the Outlaw 90 and Sportsman 90 will retail for only $2,995 (a saving of $1,000) and the Outlaw 50 for only $1,995.
While the specs speak for themselves, if you need any more evidence of the unbelievable performance of the Outlaw sports range just take a look at the results of the Polaris Racing Team in their debut season, who have blown away all comers to dominate the Outlaw Tri-State Series and the Polaris State 8, along with a strong performance at the recent Finke Desert Race.
Lightweight, with massive mid-range torque and roll-on acceleration, the Outlaw MXR 450 packs the power with a 4-stroke, 448cc KTM engine and breathes out through a Keihin 39mm FCR carburettor.
The Fox Podium shocks on the front and rear provide superior stability and performance on both the trails and the track, with dual A-arm suspension with 25.4cm travel up front and mono shock swing-arm suspension with 28cm travel at the rear. Dual piston brakes and standard premium brake calipers provide awesome braking performance, while the industry's only standard, self-adjusting hydraulic clutch is smooth and easy to pull.
The Outlaw 450 MXR comes with 5-speed manual transmission including a reverse switch, along with MAXXIS RZR front and rear tyres and spun aluminium wheels.
In 2007, Polaris introduced the Outlaw 525 IRS, the fastest accelerating sport ATV available. In 2008, along with offering the independent rear suspension Outlaw 525 IRS, Polaris one-upped itself by introducing a straight-axled Outlaw 525 S. Nine kilos lighter than the 525 IRS, the Outlaw 525 S is a dune racing enthusiast's ultimate machine.
Both the 525 IRS and 525 S feature a high performance, 510cc, 4-valve KTM engine (OHC with roller rocker lever) with an 11:1 compression ratio and a 39 mm Keihin FCR-MX carburettor.
While the Outlaw 525 S features a premium straight axle suspension, the 525 IRS is the ultimate trail machine with Polaris' exclusive PRO (Polaris Rider Optimised) IRS system for increased stability and a smoother ride on the rough trails.
Keeping both rear wheels on the ground, Outlaw's PRO IRS gives greater control and higher speed capability over rough terrain by smoothing out ruts and bumps. The anti-sway bar provides the handling of a straight axle in the corners, while its 27.9cm of ground clearance is more than twice that of straight axle quads.
Polaris's new 4-stroke youth range has set the benchmark for performance, reliability and safety. The Outlaw 90 and Sportsman 90 have the same styling as their full-sized namesakes, and come complete with a 4-stroke engine (including reverse gear), electric start, long travel rear suspension and automatic transmission. The Outlaw 50 also boasts a 4-stroke engine and automatic, along with adjustable footwell height, so the ATV can grow with your child.
All youth models come loaded with safety features such as day time running lights, adjustable throttle limiter and safety tether, along with a free safety pack including a helmet, safety flag and instructional safety DVD.
