Polaris launch 'Sportsman 570 H.D.'
"At the heart of the new Sportsman 570 H.D. is a 44hp, state-of-the-art Pro-Star engine which delivers the ultimate power and acceleration, along with 22% more power than the Sportsman 500," said Polaris Australia & New Zealand Country Manager, Brad Wolstenholme.
"The Sportsman 570 H.D. also boasts new dual overhead cams with 4 valve cylinder head for strong power delivery, along with ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION for smooth starting and running.
Increased fuel capacity (13%) and wattage (40%) for increased charging power are other improvements, enabling the Sportsman to run more hard-working accessories.
The rear carry rack has been reconfigured for the 2014 model, with exposed steel tubing with multiple tie-down points.
The front of the seat and side panels have been narrowed at the thigh for improved comfort, while the floorboards have been made wider and longer for easier mounting and dismounting. The independent rear suspension boasts 24.1cm travel and 28cm ground clearance.
The Sportsman 570 H.D. comes complete with greasable/sealed ball joints, sealed driveshaft splines and sealed suspension bushings to not only provide increased durability in the harsh Australian conditions, but also provide easier ongoing maintenance.
The Sportsman 570 H.D. will carry an RRP of $8,495, $1,500 less than the launch price of the original Sportsman 500 17 years ago.
