One Crazy Ride DVD

Proving you don't need a stack of the latest gear - or indeed the latest bike - to go adventure touring, the intrepid Gaurav Jani (of Riding Solo to the Top of the World fame) and a group of friends push - sometimes literally - their Royal Enfields through the wilds of north-eastern India's Arunachal Pradesh region - trying to chart a route they've been told doesn't exist.

As much a travelogue as it is a motorcycle journey, what's impressive about this DVD - aside from the stunning scenery and the fact they tackle dirt bike trails on road bikes! - is that yet again, Jani does virtually everything himself - no film crew or support vehicles. This is a handmade film in every sense of the word, and while the accents can be a bit hard to decipher at times, it is a real eye opener to a region that few people - including a lot of Indians - know very little about. Highly recommended.
