New GSX-R750 arrives
The cornerstone of the GSX-R range, this all new GSX-R750 continues to define race bred excellence, combining the breathtaking broad powerband of a heavyweight with the light, responsive handling of a compact middleweight. Exceptional engineering of Suzuki's new 750cc, four-cylinder, DOHC powerplant makes it narrower and lighter than ever before, while producing even greater power output.
The 2006 GSX-R750 is fitted with the latest version of the SDTV (Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve) fuel injection system, 3D-mapped ignition and SET variable exhaust tuning, with the Engine Control Module managing all systems. Flaunting its race-bred heritage, the enhanced six-speed transmission is mated with a new back-torque-limiting clutch which offers smoother downshifting, particularly on the race rack.
A Suzuki Advanced Exhaust System (SAES) with new under engine muffler assists engine torque, while lowering the GSX-R750's centre of gravity and improving aerodynamics.
The new chassis with its shorter fuel tank, lower seat height and three-way adjustable rider's footpegs creates a revised riding position for improved comfort, control and mobility. Featuring a new longer, aluminium alloy swingarm with increased rigidity, the GSX-R750 provides improved rider feel and better rear wheel traction. For greater stopping performance, Suzuki's 750cc powerhouse incorporates the most advanced braking system on a production motorcycle.
Suzuki's advanced innovative styling delivers a whole new look with aggressive, aerodynamic bodywork offering a 5% increase in aero-dynamic efficiency. Following the design cues of the 2005 GSX-R1000, the latest GSX-R750 features new lighter, three-spoke, cast aluminium wheels plus front and rear integrated turn signals.
The 2006 model GSX-R750 is now available in Australia in Pearl Blue/ White, Candy Yellow/Black or Matt Black/Black at a RRP of $16,990 plus on road costs.
