NEW Fireblade set to raise the bar for sportsbikes. September 2008
More effective aerodynamic design also extends to the new Fireblade's ram air intake with new intake ports moulded into its front cowl, enhanced by eye-catching Honda Wing emblems embedded into the tank.
The new Fireblade's seat and tail have also been drastically shortened and lightened, and in order to achieve stronger, higher revving power output, a larger bore and shorter stroke were called for. The end result is a 2.5kg lighter, more compact engine with sleeveless plated cylinders and lighter internals for stronger power delivery.
With such advanced features as its mass centralised fuel tank, Unit-Pro-Link rear suspension, radial mount front disc brakes and Honda electronic steering damper, everything about the CBR 1000RR stakes out a higher standard in motorcycle performance and design.
Honda Australia are offering a number of accessories including a selection of carbon- fibre parts, protective rear tank pad, colour matched rear seat cowl, taller windscreen, racing sticker set and much more. RRP for the new 'Blade is $17,990.
