New date for Nowra AORC round
After being postponed, the Nowra rounds of the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship presented by MXStore are back on the calendar.
Originally scheduled for 27-28 March, what was to be rounds 1 and 2 of the 2021 AORC season had to be cancelled due to extreme weather in NSW that flooded sections of the track and pit area, making it impossible to hold the event.
Nowra remained on the calendar, but with a TBC date until Motorcycling Australia and AORC series organisers confirmed a new date on 23 April.
The Nowra rounds will now be held on 28-29 August, comprising rounds 7 and 8 of the 2021 championship.
Host club, the Oyster Bay Motorcycle Club, had done significant work in preparing for the original rounds and will ensure a sensational track – that tests rider skill and fitness – will be provided come August.
The Championship has also received significant support from Shoalhaven City Council.
While attending the AORC rounds this August, fans are encouraged to enjoy all that Nowra and the Shoalhaven region has to offer, including the Shoalhaven Zoo, Fleet Air Arm Museum, numerous walking tracks, stunning natural scenery, rock climbing, historic homesteads and gardens, the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre, regional gallery and much more. For further details, go to aorc.org.au
