New colour for Honda's Fury cruiser
The VT 1300CX's raked-out chopper styling is unaltered, with the mechanical specs also unchanged, but the new colour scheme does give the Fury a "meaner" look.
A high-mount steering head gives the VT 1300CX Fury frame a see-through, open-air look, while the long slim fuel tank, ultra-low seat height, big-time rake, and fat 200-series rear tyre paired with a slim 21-inch front wheel all add up to a classic hard-tail chopper look. The long, slim and voluptuous look of the fuel tank along with handlebar shape and size allow the appropriate amount of steering clearance when the front wheel is turned from stop-to-stop.
The Fury's powerplant is a muscular 1312cc liquid-cooled 52-degree V-twin, with a single-pin crankshaft and dual balancers. The top radiator hose is hidden away beneath the front valve cover, a patented idea that illustrates the efforts Honda expended on maintaining an airy look for the front end.
The single-shock rear suspension system features adjustable rebound damping and five-position spring reload adjustments, while the 45mm front forks feature 102mm of travel.
Distinctive alloy wheels offer a single powerful 336mm-diameter front disc brake complemented by a 296mm rear brake disc. Advanced Antilock Brake System is standard on the VT 1300CX.
Manufacturer's List Price for the VT 1300CX Fury, in the new Graphite Black colour, is $15,599*, available in Honda Dealerships nationally.
