MX Nationals to go 'retro' for Round 7

The bright and colourful theme (remember all that pink and blue in the 80s?) will provide athletes and teams with the opportunity to dress up their bikes, with spectators also encouraged to throw back to the good old pre-90s days, to recognize just how far motocross racing has come.

 

To celebrate the official retro round of 2015, the MX Nationals will be hosting a 'Retro Show and Shine' for spectators, encouraging anyone with motorcycles that have been maintained from the pre-90s to bring their bikes to the Shepparton venue (see full track location details below).

 

Bikes will be on display throughout the event, meaning that your old vintage bikes will be lined up alongside Australia's best - showcasing the significant changes made to the machinery throughout history.

 

Not only will the 'Retro Show and Shine' provide the opportunity to show off your bike, but anyone who brings their pre-90s machine will receive free entry to the round seven, and also go into the draw to win exciting prizes.

 

Thanks to MX National's official partners, Link International and Gas Imports, prizes will include Motul oils, Pirelli tyres and Thor retro riding gear, with the winning bike receiving a full page spread in the next issue of the 'Inside Dirt' downloadable magazine.

Practise and Qualifying start from approximately 8:30am, with racing from approximately 10:40am.
