MotoGP Round 9

Marco Melandri was the front runner and it wasn't until the eleventh lap that Pedrosa was able to pass the Italian. Pedrosa won by three and a half seconds with Rossi and Melandri dicing for the other podium places. Rossi rode like the champion that he is, having started 12th on the grid, clawing his way up to fifth by the halfway point, and then moving up to challenge Melandri before claiming second place. A great ride. Casey Stoner had some fast laps and finished a respectable fourth.
