Last chance to order Honda's NSF250R road racer
Only those who have confirmed orders will receive the new HRC model, as no stock will be carried in Honda dealerships and no extra units will be produced for the Australian market.
Enthusiasts - and buyers! - will get a chance to see the NSF250R in the metal at the Phillip Island MotoGP in October, as well as the Sydney Motorcycle Expo in November.
Building on the technology cultivated in the RS125R, Honda claims to have reached new competitive heights in the 250cc class with the NSF250R. The bike is powered by an all-new liquid cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, 249cc engine, specifically designed to be lightweight and compact while delivering high output. The NSF250R incorporates a front-intake/rear-exhaust configuration with high charging efficiency in order to achieve high output and excellent responsiveness.
To ensure power delivery all the way through the high rpm range, the NSF250R uses titanium valves for both the intake and exhaust which reduces friction. A close-ratio 6-speed transmission allows gear selection to be optimized over a large variety of racing circuits.
The NSF250R's compact frame is similar to that of the RS125R, allowing freedom and nimbleness for effective cornering.
Production is due to commence in September, with Australian delivery expected in December, 2011. MSRP $22,990.
