Jack Miller signs with Red Bull KTM Ajo for 2014
Currently riding the Caretta Technology RTG Honda, Miller's move to Aki Ajo's team will see him take the place of Luis Salom, who will make the step up to Moto2 in 2014.
The 18-year-old from Townsville signed on with the premier Moto3 team at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli ahead of this weekend's round of the championship.
"I am very happy to have signed for what is, in my opinion, the best team in Moto3," says Miller. "Joining this team will give me the opportunity to fight for the Moto3 title next season. I can't wait to get started with this new adventure in my sporting career and I am sure that there will be a good relationship developed with my new team - one which already exists."
"We know how important it is to maintain our focus on the fight for the 2013 Moto3 title, but obviously at this stage of the season it is normal to be preparing things for the next campaign," adds Team Manager Ajo. "We are very happy to have signed Jack Miller to ride for us next season. I think that everyone has seen that he is one of the biggest talents for the future in the World Championship. We are very proud to have Jack as one of Red Bull KTM Ajo's riders for 2014."
Miller joined the World Championship in the 125 tier in 2011, which became Moto3 the following year. He is yet to claim a podium finish, but sits seventh in the current standings following a string of top ten finishes, including a best race result of sixth (at Circuit of the Americas - round 2) ahead of this weekend's round.
