Husqvarna previews E-Pilen concept
Husqvarna Motorcycles has presented a teaser of their future E-mobility range of zero-emissions motorcycles and mobility products in the form of the ‘E-Pilen’ concept.

Inspired by the successful Vitpilen and Svartpilen models, the E-Pilen concept offers what Husqvarna says is a tantalising vision of what its future move into electric urban mobility will look like.

The current Husqvarna Motorcycles street range is already known for being progressive, smart, dynamic and design oriented. These values will continue to be hallmarks of the E-mobility line, which is intended to broaden Husqvarna’s appeal amongst existing riders as well as attracting a whole new audience.

Developed with the urban commuter and leisure rider in mind, the E-Pilen concept’s power output is listed at 8kW and the range at 100 km - a range that maximises the time between battery charges.
Husqvarna say they will keep an open approach to all battery opportunities, aiding the parallel advantage of both fixed and swappable solutions. The E-Pilen concept features a modular and swappable battery system allowing the power pack to be exchanged, extending the appeal and utility of electric motorcycles.

According to Husqvarna, their E-mobility range will retain the riding pleasure and dynamics refined through the long history and experience of the brand and apply that knowledge and experience to the development of new products that are accessible to the broadest possible spectrum of riders.
In support of the E-mobility initiative, Husqvarna Motorcycles say they’ll also strategically expand their dealer presence in urban and metropolitan areas. Whether this will apply to Australia has yet to be confirmed.
Development of the E-mobility range is apparently already well-advanced, with further information to be released in the near future.
