Husqvarna announce FC 450 ‘Rockstar Edition’

Set apart from the regular MY19 FC 450 by graphics for the international energy drink brand that sponsors the factory race team, the FC 450 Rockstar Edition also features the engineering advancements that have gone into Husqvarna’s 2019 motocross range.
These upgrades and improvements include a new CP forged box-in-box piston and PANKL con rod that reduce friction and improve both the performance and reliability of the 450cc air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine. Producing 46.9kW, the engine in the MY19 FC 450 is also lower and lighter than last year’s model.
This lighter engine, along with the PANKL Racing 5-speed gearbox, are available on all MY19 FC 450s, but the Rockstar Edition gets an FMF Racing Factory 4.1 RCT silencer that’s shorter than the standard unit and features a blue anodised titanium body and carbon fibre end cap.
Other features defining the FC 450 Rockstar Edition include CNC-machined triple clamps with adjustable – 20mm to 22mm – offset, as well as machined hubs, carbon fibre engine and front brake disc protectors (the standard two-piece carbon fibre subframe remains), a mechanical holeshot device, anodised D.I.D DirtStar wheels and black powdercoating on the hydroformed lightweight frame.
Standard FC 450 features on the Rockstar Edition include WP front and rear suspension, ProTaper handlebars, Brembo brakes, Magura hydraulic clutch, electric starting and selectable engine mapping, launch and traction control.
The Husqvarna FC 450 Rockstar Edition is due for Australian release in April, priced from $14,995 RRP. See your Husqvarna dealer for more details.
